Golf
Casa de Campo is not only synonymous with golf, but also with Pete Dye, the American course designer with a flamboyant reputation for crafting some of the world's most spectacular and unusual layouts. At Casa de Campo, this translates to the Teeth of the Dog, Links and Dye Fore, a remarkable triumvirate of golf courses that mark the Dominican Republic on the golfing map.
The multi-award winning Teeth of the Dog is regularly part of world top 100 compilations, and is known best for its sequence of holes strung along the rugged Caribbean shoreline. The Teeth of the Dog was the founding stone around which Casa de Campo was created as a whole, and the resort has since expanded with two further Dye creations.
The Links is an inland layout that may appear less visually imposing than its neighbours, but its swathes of water and sand, blended with hints of British and Irish seaside golf, make it a beautiful and demanding test. Completing the Casa de Campo trio is the Dye Fore, a typically spectacular course from its visionary creator; tipping the scales at a staggering 7,740 yards, the Dye Fore includes no less than seven cliff-top holes.
