Golf
Casa Velha do Palheiro is recognised as the only genuine golf hotel on the island of Madeira, being situated adjacent to the splendid Palheiro Golf. Set amid the gorgeous 200-year-old estate, there are few golf courses that boast such impressive surroundings, and the quality of the layout is the ideal accompaniment; the original design was implemented in 1993 by American architect Cabell Robinson, whose work is prominent across Southern Europe, and was reworked to add the 6-hole academy course in 2003.
Perched 500 metres above sea level, Palheiro Golf provides spectacular views over Funchal and Madeira's Atlantic coastline, with mature woodland and splendid flora and fauna forming the backdrop for a memorable golfing experience. Easy access from the Casa Velha do Palheiro makes this a relaxing golfing experience that draws repeat visitors year after year.

Traditional and elegant in style, The Dining Room offers the chance to savour a number of outstanding experiences; special occasions call for the 7-course Gourmet tasting menu, while there is the excellent a la carte menu and also light meals.
Located around 500 metres from the Casa Velha in the Palheiro Clubhouse, this new restaurant is open during the day and for early dinners, all backed up with glorious panoramic views of Funchal harbour.

The Palheiro Spa is an exciting new addition to this luxury Madeira golf destination, located in the stunning gardens and a huge attraction for both golfers and non-players alike.
