Costa de Almeria Courses
Desert Springs (Indiana) Golf Club 6750 yds Par 72
Desert Springs, more popularly known as the Indiana course, is the first desert golf course in Europe and has been built to full USGA standards. Designed by the former Walker Cup captain Peter McEvoy, it is unique as it has been carved out of the rugged natural terrain of the Almanzora Desert. It possesses unforgettable views across the emerald swathes of the course, the rugged terrain of the desert and into the mountains beyond. Desert Springs is also the winter home of the English Golf Union and has one of the most comprehensive golf academies in Europe.
Marina Golf Mojacar Golf Club 6011 yds Par 72
Situated on the Marina del Torre estate overlooking the sea and immediately adjacent to Mojacar town itself. The 3rd hole is the most spectacular with a drop of almost 65 metres down onto the fairway, a daunting lake to the left and the green some 500 yards in the distance. A good fun option.
Valle del Este Golf Club 6265 yds Par 71
A Jose Canales design, this popular Spanish architect has made full use of the natural terrain and surroundings. Another layout carved from the desert, Valle del Este is very similar to many American designs with five lakes and streams making up nearly 50% of the entire area of the course. A memorable challenge that you will want to repeat! Look out for the unusual shaped tee boxes.
