The Resort

Golf
The golfing experience on offer at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort is unlike any other. In addition to an 18 hole championship golf course there is also an academy, par3 course and of course the Extreme 19th hole.
At the heart of the resort is a championship course designed by eighteen of the world’s top golfers. Famous names including Trevor Immelman, Padraig Harrington, Bernard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Justin Rose, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia and Retief Goosen are to name but a few. Generous fairways are shared with game animals and the course is kept in immaculate condition all year round. The fantastic design and stunning setting in the shadow of the Hanglip Mountain combine to create a golfing experience not easily forgotten.
Few holes in the history of golf have generated such a buzz as the Xtreme 19th. Accessible only by helicopter, with the tee set 400m up on the majestic Hanglip Mountain and played to a green the shape of Africa some 400m below, the Xtreme 19th captures the imagination like no other hole; a truly magical golfing experience.
The Tribute Course pays homage to some of the greatest golf holes ever designed. A ten hole par 3 course where nine of the holes are based on the most famous par 3s in the world is a great place for golfers to sharpen uo their short game before tackling the main attraction.
Rooms
The resort’s guest rooms have been built to the highest specification and effortlessly combine African style with modern amenity. Based around four design styles, all the properties allow guests to experience the wonders of the African bush and with IT and visual entertainment facilities at hand in each room, the modern world is just the flick of a switch away.

The Entabeni Lodges offer more spacious and private surroundings in the most spectacular locations on the resort. Each lodge is different and yet has the same principles at its heart - a desire to provide the guest with the best possible experience of the African bush. Dining options at the lodges are varied; some have their own Bomas and others boast fine dining restaurants.
The lodge on the banks of Lake Entabeni has 24 bedrooms linked by thatched walkways to the main lodge area. Meals are mainly buffet style, served in the restaurant, boma, Springbok Bar or lower deck.
Hanglip Mountain Lodge offers 10 luxury en-suite thatched rooms surrounded by wetlands and plains. The Lodge offers fine dining in the restaurant as well as in the garden. Various outside venues are available for a traditional braai, picnic or that special mealin the most spectacular surroundings.
Hidden away in a lush bushveld setting, this rustic, camp of 20 tented chalets boasts splendid views over the Waterberg escarpment. Dining in the restaurant is informal. The Wildside Boma is used for those special evening meals around the open fire while the pool area is ideal for light lunches.
This charming lodge is built on wooden stilts on the edge of the ravine and offers guests the chance to indulge in bird and game watching. Meals are served in the dining room and bar area or outside in the boma in the shadow of a 100 year old Fig Tree.
The Kingfisher Lodge is exclusive and luxurious, offering superb personalized service. The ambience is inviting with a spacious lounge area opening onto a wooden deck that overlooks Lake Entabeni.
Bars and Restaurants
Like the golf, dining at the Legend Golf and Safari Resort is a rather unique experience and that isn’t just down to the wonderful quality and variety of the food. Sumptuous steaks, exotic seafood and locally sourced vegetables and game can be enjoyed in the most spectacular settings imaginable.
The Whitle Lion Boma offers guests the chance to sample traditional African delicacies during an unforgettable outdoor dining experience. Sitting around a fire, guests will be treated to African music while they enjoy their delicious meal.
Vibrant music and a relaxed informal atmosphere make this a fun place to enjoy delicious traditional South African cuisine.
For a truly special dining experience guests can take a helicopter to the top of the Hanglip Mountain to enjoy a meal in a truly remarkable open air restaurant. Situated in the heart of the bushveld is Fig Tree bush which is the perfect setting for wining and dining under the African skies. After dark you will be likely to experience a lions’ roar or a trumpeting elephant that will reverberate from the distance.
The Signature Course Clubhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a range of menus available and featuring a Halfway House Menu in addition to a selection of fine dining options.
Nestled between the Signature Golf Course and the Mmadikiri Dam, the Lookout Restaurant offers guests a diverse menu of freshly prepared foods to cater to all tastes as well as a fully stocked bar and an extensive wine list.
The Spa
The Spa at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort offers guests an ideal place to escape the excitement of the rest of the resort. Both men and women can be pampered and preened by the spa's trained therapists who offer packages designed to spoil and indulge as well as making use of an impressive array of facilities.
