Golf at Pinehurst

The original owners set Pinehurst on the path to golfing legend when they recruited Donald Ross, originally of Dornoch, Scotland, to begin mapping out the courses in 1900. He is responsible for four of the resort's eight, including No. 2, the icon of Pinehurst and the site of the 1951 Ryder Cup and multiple US Opens.

Pinehurst has diverse golfing offerings; the courses vary hugely in length and character - the No. 3 Course is just 5,682 yards - which means guests will enjoy a richly varied experience. The four Donald Ross courses (Nos. 1 through 4) are supplemented by additions from Tom Fazio and Rees Jones, creating a compilation that ranks among the very best for international golf travellers.
