The Resort
Secluded within 500 tropical acres along a pristine, mile-long beach, the Sandals Emerald Bay is an oasis of luxury in the Bahamian Out Islands. Service is supreme and there’s selection of magnificently appointed, luxurious accommodations plus a multitude of dining and recreation options, including three impressive pools - one is a half-acre pool - to five exceptional restaurants and even snooker in an authentic English pub.
Accommodations also come complete with butler service and personal concierges. Located on site is the renowned Red Lane Spa and, of course, the Emerald Reef Golf Club, a Greg Norman course that plays to more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees and features a spectacular, six-hole stretch on a peninsula overlooking the emerald waters.
Golf
Designed by golf legend Greg Norman, the award-winning course at Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club is recognised as one the most scenic ocean-side golf course in the Caribbean and renowned for its challenging fairways. A golfer’s paradise, six signature holes hug the coastline of a scenic peninsula, and prevailing trade winds promise new experiences with each game.
This 18-hole, par 72 championship course has five set of tees so is designed with a wide range of abilities in mind but can be stretched to 7,000 yards from the back tees. The front nine holes wind through a mix of seaside dunes and scenic mangroves while the back nine play along the rocky peninsula of Emerald Bay. There’s also a practice range with chipping and putting greens, driving range and a club lounge with drinks and casual dining, plus beverage carts out on the course.
If your game needs sharpening up, the Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy at provides players with the rare opportunity to hone their golf skills while enjoying their luxury holiday. Golfers receive intensive on-course instruction and assistance with course management as well as V-1 video swing analysis. Students also receive nutritional advice and exercise routines that Greg Norman uses to stay healthy and keep his edge on and off the golf course.
