The Resort

When you stay at Tortuga Bay every detail is taken care of from the moment you touch down at Punta Cana International Airport. The resort’s VIP Service will whisk you through customs to a private car that has been awaiting your arrival. After a brief ride through the lush and vibrant Dominican scenery, your personal concierge will welcome you, check you in at your villa and provide you with your own golf cart for convenient travel throughout the resort.

The accommodation is a stunning mix of villas and suites infused with Dominican style and heritage, creating an artful harmony between simplicity and elegance. There are nine world-class restaurants to choose from and numerous in-room dining options, so the choice of whether to go out or stay in may be difficult. Whether you play golf or not won’t be, with two fantastic courses on site by Tom Fazio and PB Dye, and another world-class links due to open in late 2011.

Golf

The magnificent ocean-front vistas of La Cana Golf Course will captivate the most discerning golfers, while its well-defended greens can challenge the game’s toughest competitors. Golf Magazine declared it the “number one course in the Caribbean” and with 14 ocean-view holes, with four playing right on the water’s edge, it’s easy to see why.

The world-renowned P.B. Dye designed this course and he has returned to Punta Cana to design another breathtaking layout, Hacienda, completed in 2011. The other exhilarating course at this resort is the Tom Fazio designed Corales Golf Course, set between rocky cliffs, coral reefs and the expansive Caribbean Sea.

With six oceanfront holes and canyons, a round at Corales is one you’ll remember. This brilliantly entertaining course culminates in the striking 18th with a dramatic carry over the rocky Bay of Corales. It’s an inspired finish to a wonderful golf course.

L'Entrecote de Paris at Coccoloba

La Cana is the Resort’s main restaurant on the grounds of the Hotel. Set within a spacious eating hall with amazing views of the Caribbean Sea, La Cana serves grand buffets for breakfast and special events.

Franco’s Trattoria

Franco’s offers a wide selection of gourmet pizza, from the classic Margherita to more exotic combinations. If you’re looking for more than pizza, salads and freshly prepared sandwiches are also available.

La Choza
