Golf

With courses penned by Gary Player and Pete Dye, the Westin Mission Hills ranks among the most prestigious golfing destinations in Palm Springs.

Pete Dye Resort Course

One of California’s most picturesque golf courses, the Pete Dye Resort Course spans rolling fairways that wind their way through native greenery and well placed water hazards that demand accuracy and course management from start to finish. Like many of Dye’s spectacular creations the course is defined by hidden pin placements, carries over water, pot bunkers and elevated tee shots. Measuring 6,706 yards this course presents a serious challenge but with a selection of four tee positions golfers of all abilities can try to tackle it.

Gary Player Signature Course

Sitting in the shadow of the stunning surrounding mountains, the Gary Player Signature Course is a joy to behold. Measuring 7,062 yards, this is considerably longer than the Pete Dye Course and yet it is much the more playable of the two. Five sets of tees make the course accessible to golfers of all skill levels and perhaps the most important attribute around this striking layout is sound course management. 20 acres of lakes mean water comes into play on no less than 10 holes, most notably the tricky par 3s. As is the case with the Pete Dye Course, the condition of the Gary Player layout is top class all year round.

Las Brisas Cafe and Caliente Bar

Seasons Grill

The Den

The Den offers a cosy and relaxing haven that overlooks the 18th hole of the stunning Pete Dye golf course. Guests can retire to The Den to enjoy a pre dinner aperitif or a well deserved nightcap selected from an extensive menu of cognacs, martinis and cocktails. Sports fans can also engross themselves in front of the TVs that regularly show sports events from all around the world. For the perfect way to end a day at Mission Hills head to The Den which has its own outdoor fire pit where guests can gather to gaze at the stars which are unspoiled by the lights of the modern world.

Spa

Spread out over 14,000 square feet, the charming spa at Mission Hills provides facilities for you every desire. 14 private treatment rooms named after native desert plants provide soothing sanctuaries while a steam room, Jacuzzi, meditation lounge, and lush gardens offer additional quiet spaces the ultimate in relaxation.
